Enamel: strong and smooth
The hard, glassy top layer of enamel makes the surface particularly resistant to dirt, dust and even graffiti. At the same time, it is a smooth surface, making most dirt difficult to adhere to. Still, an enamel sign can become dull over time due to tarnishing, especially with outdoor use.
Enamel sign cleaning in three steps
For regular maintenance, you don't need aggressive products at all. On the contrary: they can damage the shiny surface. Rather, follow these simple steps:
- Use a soft sponge or cloth
Always avoid scouring sponges, steel wool or hard brushes. Use a soft (microfiber) sponge or non-abrasive cloth. - Choose mild soap and lukewarm water
A little mild dish soap dissolved in lukewarm water is sufficient to remove dirt and deposits. Strong chemicals, degreasers or acidic cleaners are unnecessary. Certainly do not use a descaler. - Rinse and dry after
Rinse the plate well with clean water and dry with a soft cloth if necessary. This will prevent water stains and preserve the luster of the enamel.
What about stubborn dirt?
In case of graffiti or other stubborn stains, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the sign.
Long-lasting beauty, minimal effort
Enamel signs are not only visually appealing, but also one of the most low-maintenance long-term solutions. With a little care, they remain in top condition for decades - without discoloration, flaking or rusting.
