The steel we use has a specific alloy. We do this to ensure better quality and an optimal end result. The thicknesses range from 1.2 to 3 mm, and all steel processing takes place in our own workshop.
Pre-treatment is an important step in the process. This is because a good clean base ensures the adhesion of the enamel to the metal.
We produce our glass enamel ourselves by carefully mixing color pigments, glass frits, various powders and oxides with water. Each color has a unique recipe, with all ingredients carefully weighed. The steel surface first receives a protective primer on both sides, followed by a primer and screen-printed colors.
Both the primer and base color are dried and baked in the oven after spraying to form a strong substrate for screen printing and further finishing.
Each color layer of the graphic files we receive is dissected, converted into films, and then used to expose frames for screen printing.
Screen printing is the craft technique used to apply detailed designs, patterns or images to enameled surfaces. This method combines the durability of enamel with the precision of screen printing, making it possible to create permanent, hard-wearing prints. In screen printing, the colors are applied layer by layer, then dried and fired in the oven.
We place great importance on high-quality finishing. Therefore, each work is carefully inspected, and where necessary, the edges are cleaned or refined to ensure a flawless final result.
We pack all pieces that leave our studio with the utmost care in sturdy boxes and crates, so that everything arrives to our customers unscathed. Ready to be cherished for years to come!
Because we compose and mix our vitreous enamel pastes ourselves, we can offer an unparalleled color spectrum. For example, we have already developed more than 1800 colors. Almost all RAL Classic and Pantone Coated colors are possible, as well as more than 800 custom-developed colors.
