The bag collection is called "Mutualism" and is about symbiosis, the positive relationships between organisms. Within that theme, Delvaux sought a creative exchange with Belgian artist Kasper Bosmans to bring a breath of fresh air to emblematic styles, with an exuberant color palette and groundbreaking savoir-faire. Cutting-edge and traditional techniques come together to tell a story about ancient truths and the power of imagination. The magical shapes and bright colors are in themselves a game for the eyes, but behind them there are many layers.
This handbag series is a masterpiece in itself, but Bosmans' creativity extends beyond the accessories. As part of this collection, he designed an impressive scenography for the launch of the series during the fashion show in Paris and for Delvaux's store showcases. Bosmans designed a number of large enamel artworks (1200x1000x40mm), which made a striking visual statement. He also designed a series of smaller works that were a playful and intriguing addition to the overall presentation.
