The collaboration between Emaillerie Belge and Elixir d'Anvers was an obvious match. Both symbolize Belgian tradition, craftsmanship and authenticity. Elixir d'Anvers has commissioned stunning enamel signs in the past, including the iconic 1910 sign designed by Gerard Portielje. The image of a proud boy holding a bottle of Elixir d'Anvers remains a classic. We had long dreamed of creating another enamel sign for this iconic brand, and that dream is now coming true.
A reproduction of a 1920s poster created by Catalan artist and poster maker Emilio Vilà (1887-1967) was chosen for this special edition. The enamel sign, made in an edition of only 160 pieces, is being released to mark the 160th anniversary of Distillery FX de Beukelaer. This makes the sign not only an artistic masterpiece, but also an exclusive collector's item. The dimensions of this unique panel: 440 x 560 x 20 mm.
