A new vision of interior design

For lovers of a romantic yet sleek style reminiscent of the Belle Époque, Emaillerie Belge recently teamed up with Marie Emilie Geerinckx to create a modern translation of the classic Art Nouveau style.

La Belle Epoque

The villa in which the project is located is in De Haan, and since De Haan is known as the Belle Époque town of Flanders, the creation is certainly not out of place. It includes a kitchen and two bathrooms for which Emaillerie Belge was called upon to contribute their expertise on enamel.

The architect Marie Emilie Geerinckx believes very strongly that a home should tell who you are and be a collection of all your favorite things. This is why Emaillerie Belge has strived to make this kitchen truly the heart of the home. The colors that are common are a rustic and creamy pink and a classic and stylish off-white. This classic and stylish off-white is repeated in the high-quality finishes in the bathrooms. The colors were chosen from a very wide palette of colors available to Emaillerie Belge after countless years of experience.

Muller Van Severen

Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen are known for their love of crossing boundaries and demanding participation from people through the nature of their creations. The renowned designer duo's typical approach of working with challenging materials and paying great attention to color ensures that the choice of partners they want to work with is very important. Muller Van Severen need partners who step out of their own habitat and continue to innovate their product and push boundaries. In short, a partner with an eye for the future but who at the same time has a rich past.

Emaillerie Belge shaves high marks in every aspect of enamels, ranging from color tone over intensity and quality to a high-quality finish.

For the finish with enamel in their own kitchen, they found a partner in Emaillerie Belge. Emaillerie Belge's years of experience allowed Muller Van Severen to achieve a luxurious finish in a color of their choice. Emaillerie Belge excels in every aspect of enamel, ranging from color tone over intensity and quality to a high-quality finish. The result of the collaboration between two talented parties created a breathtaking kitchen, which, due to its excellent materials, is very close to a seaside nirvana of its own.

SEINÄ Bench

This year's Fiskars Village Biennale is curated by Jasper Morrison and focuses on the interaction between art and design and its positive consequences. That is why Julien Renault, along with numerous others, was selected to exhibit one of his latest creations, the SEINÄ Bench. This architectural marvel stems from the design genius Julien Renault and has been translated into reality in collaboration with Emaillerie Belge.

Julien Renault is an artist who takes inspiration from any object in order to reach new insights and elevate the design of that object to a higher level. He tries to understand the essence of the object and then uses that to innovate the design. For the design of the SEINÄ Bench, he started from the idea of a low wall or a rock or a fallen tree stump as a center of rest in nature. In keeping with Julien Renault's usual modus operandi, he further developed an everyday object into an architectural work of art. Through the purpose of its creation and its breathtaking form, the artist created a place of calm and serenity that quickly becomes the most interesting element of a gathering place.

To turn Julien Renault's exact ideas into reality, he needed a material that could convey very intense colors, to imitate nature. In addition, it was also necessary for that same material to be able to reflect nature, just as a peaceful pond reflects the trees, sky and architecture around it. To achieve these deep and vibrant colors with a reflective finish, Julien Renault was drawn to the vitreous enamel that Emaillerie Belge has been making for years.
